Violet came to join our family thanks to a set of fortunate coincidences. A long-bonded pair of chinchillas were set to come and stay with us, but the female passed away last week, peacefully at the grand old age of 17. This left Freddy, the male of that pair, a widower.
At the same time Violet came into the care of the RSPCA in tragic circumstances, and was in need of a home and a friend. She does have quite a back story, but it's a little sensitive as she came from a house which was the scene of a crime, so I tend not to go into it too much. The stars aligned. So Violet has come to live with us and is awaiting the arrival of her new fiance Freddy (who is neutered of course).
She is a very pretty chin, and we are glad we are able to not only be her forever family, but that she will have a friend to bond with as well. We are hoping becoming Pet of the Day will make her feel so welcome, and help her know her sad days are all behind her now! She loves raisins and dried apple, and she will have extra for being Pet of the Day!
