This is Pepe! He is about eight years old now, Pepe is our pet Guinea Pig. (By the way, he is from America - his kind originates in South America, but he lives in North America - the US.) Before we had Pepe, I had another Guinea Pig, Caramel. I loved her so much! However, one day, she suddenly passed of heat stroke. It was quite a shock to the family. For a while, I became depressed.
One day, during summer vacation, my mom came home holding a towel very carefully. I saw something moving inside! I was very shocked when I saw Pepe's head pop right out of the towel! According to my mom, Pepe came from a family that couldn't take care of him anymore. She drove to the person's house, and picked him up. He was originally named Mister Mister, but we thought it was unfitting. My dad suggested the name Pepe, after the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew. He told us he looked sort of like a skunk, and we all agreed on the name Pepe, even thought skunks' stripes go lengthwise! Pepe just fits him, we all agree! He really lights up our home every day!
