Even though he may look scary - and be named after the fictional supervillian Eobard Thawne - he is actually an interesting pet. We have had him since he was very young. It has been fascinating watching him grow with every molt of his exoskeleton.
He has become so comfortable in his environment that he has spun lots of web. He doesn't use his web to catch his food though. He enjoys eating crickets and other insects from our pesticide-free yard. It is important, if you have a tarantula, to know where your insects are coming from, as of course, pesticides are deadly to them. He is a fascinating pet!
