This is Gavin, being silly for the camera. Okay, he was really checking to see what that was in my hand, just in case it was edible! He is an Indian RIngneck, but that's just the type of parrot he is. He is an All-American boy, born and raised here in New York.
He's just one and a half years old, and is developing the classic ring around his neck you can see, though his coloring will probably darken and that's get more obvious as he gets older. He is a real clown, and loves t swing from his rope, and when he knows we are watching, will hang upside down just to hear us laugh. We look forwad to seeing what he will figure out next, as he's always getting into things, and exploring everything with that beak of his, but he has learned that fingers are not to be chomped. Thankfully he picked that up pretty quickly. He's a fun part of the household and keeps us all guessing.
