Hi, my name is Freddy, and I am a very shy mouse.
A little while back, Mom went to Pet Depot with the idea of getting three female mice. (Females don't fight as much.) The sales associate was very helpful. Every mouse he checked was a male. We decided that MAYBE if the males were litter mates they would not fight. Mom took three of us home.
We were in a big aquarium, with plenty of room for all of us, but eventually one of the mice started picking on me. The other would snuggle with me. Mom separated us from the one mouse. After a few days, even the other mouse started to chase me. Mom doesn't want anyone to live in fear. She put me by myself, and I am much happier.
Mom gives us all clean water and food twice a day. She cleans our aquarium often. Mice can be a little smelly otherwise, she says.
In a way, it's kind of funny. Mom planned on having all of us in one place, but now she has aquariums all over the house. That's OK, we are better off this way.
