I adopted Lemon when he was about six months old. He needed a new home because the other guinea pig (Lime) was living with started fighting with him. This is my first pet, Lemon and I have formed a strong bond since the last four and a half years. I have taught him how to respond to yes and no questions such as "Do you want to go back in your cage?"
Lemon has a very laid back nature and is very easy to take care of, aside from the loads of ... err... you know what I mean. His favorite food is carrots, and the occasional leaf of lettuce. In last October, we got another guinea pig, Pumpkin. He's very skiddish and isn't the brightest. They don't get along, so we had to buy another cage. Lemon just turned five, (or 90 in guinea pig years) on January 11, pretty old for a guinea pig, and I love him. And yes that darks spot in the center of his crest is fur, not shadow. I think of it as his defining characteristic.
