Hazel is a brown and white Syrian hamster. Her favorite thing to do is sleep. She sleeps about 23 hours a day. When she's awake, she eats mealworms that we hid around her cage, burrows in the bedding, and chews on her wooden cheese toy. She is very shy, and never wants to come out of her cage. She only comes out to a few people she knows really well and trusts. She might be really shy and scared because at the place where we got her, people treated her really badly.
Sometimes our cat, Coconut, watches her from outside the cage. We try to make them friends but Coconut already knows what hamsters taste like, so we really can't. Hazel is shy, and sleeps all the time, but we understand why - she had a tough life when she was young. Some of her favorite things to do are: Sleep, eat mealworms, climb, burrow, and sleep. Some of her least favorite things are:Coconut, being woken up, hands in her cage, and a lot of types of food she's very picky). Hazel is beautiful, cute, and is always going to be a special part of the family.
