I would like to introduce my budgie, Mr. Bird. He lives in Honolulu, Hawaii and turned four years old on September first.
I hand raised him from a two-week old chick and now he is a beautiful adult bird. His favorite foods are lettuce, spinach, apple, orange, and egg yolk.
He started talking when he was less than six month old and now had a very large vocabulary. He learns from listening to me and my family, as well as the television! He can even swear (though we scold him when he does)!
He gets to play outside of his cage a lot and can fly to visit me in my room, which is at the back of the house. He likes to announce his arrival by cheeping loudly or saying, "Hello!" He has many toys, but he likes the simple ones the best--pens, hair rollers, small bottles, clothespins!
I feel very fortunate to have Mr. Bird in my life and hope that he is with us for a very long time! He is the cutest, sweetest, most wonderful bird in the land!
