Beamer is a short-tail 'possum from the marsupial family. In the wild they are native to South America, but he is a pet, captive bred of course. He is 12 months old. We live in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Beamer came to us right after Christmas last year I bought him as an after-Christmas gift to myself. He is a very active pet. He loves to crawl all over me and hang by his tail. I keep him in my bedroom and some nights I have to take him out so I can get some sleep. When I open his cage and he wants out and he practically leaps out onto my hand, he is very fast. He will sit on my arm and hang on with his firm grip. He is so much fun to watch as he scurries around his cage playing with his hanging toy, or going up and down the ladder. I just love him. Beamer is a great pet to have.
