Hi my name is Jacob and my turtle's name is Wiley (pronounced Willy). Wiley is four years old. I got him for Christmas three years ago. Wiley is a Red Painted Turtle. Wiley lives on Seventh Street, in New York City. And he is a great pet for an apartment - you don't need to take him outside for walks like a dog or anything, and he's quiet, too, so neighbors never even know he is there. He likes to swim around his tank, and sometimes we take him out so he can walk around on the floor just for something different to do.
My turtle is special because when you put your finger on the tank, he will follow your finger back and forth for a swim. He will go at your fingers and tries to eat them, but it does not hurt, I think maybe his eyesight isn't great, and he thinks it might be turtle food. Wiley is a cool pet, but he mostly basks in the sun. He is the best turtle in the world, no other turtle can compare.
