Aeris was rescued from a pet store after her first owner returned her heavily pregnant. She was only about 4 months old. Her litter was born at the pet store, but due to stress they were either still born, or Aeris killed her litter, we will never know exactly what happened. She was in a container, all by herself. She was frightened, and ran to hide when anyone came near her enclosure. She was also very thin.
We brought her home and she became the third piggie in our herd. It was a rough transition but now she has acclimated to her new sisters and loving owners. She even comes out when you call her by name. Some people do not know guinea pigs are smart enough to do that, but she is! She has gained weight and will never be alone again.
