My parrot is called Jacko (Jack for short). We don't know his age but he's somewhere near seventeen years old now. He's an african grey parrot.
Jack is the smartest animal in the world! When you get up in the morning, and wake Jack up and he says "good morning" in a happy cheerful voice. Then you give him a morning spray with water, and he says "oooo, come on." When you eat your breakfast and he'll sit and eat his too.
He will rattle his cage and say "wanna drink, wanna chip" so if you give him a bit of banana he will peel it and say "thank you!!" Then you will get a drink and he'll do stirring noises and say "wanna drink?" As you're making your drink he'll sit on his perch and do pouring noises. At night you will cover his cage up with a blanket and he will say "night night."
If you're feeling lonely he will come up close to the cage and say "are you alright?" and he truly watches tv - he whistles to the Emerdale theme, and shouts "goal!" when football's on.
My nan will take him to the vets for something and he will click his tongue and say "ooooooh, come on..." and start snickering. He will say "Bye" and "Cheerio" when you leave the house ... and when the phone rings he'll do an impression, hold his foot up to his ear and say "hello?"
I think he should be honored for certain! Even the vets were impressed with his intelligence!
