This is Sassy, my African Grey Parrot. Sassy turned 24 years old this July, she was hatched one year to the day of when my mom passed away. She has a vocabulary of over 800 words and phases - which include "Wanna a Beer", "Wanna cup of coffee" and "You're a Goober". I am never alone - for I always have her to talk to. She also helps me keep the other animals (birds and dogs) in line by telling them to either "come here" or "be quiet". And there are many times that we can actually carry on a conversation. The fun time is at the end of the day when I will just sit with her perched on my shoulder or knee for about a half an hour and just ruffle the feathers on her neck - she loves this and then she is ready to go to bed.
