This Nolan, The Amazing Hermit Crab! He was half this size when we got him, but we feed him a large algae pellet (or two) a day and he's grown up to be a big boy! It has been fun watching him grow, and finding bigger shells to accomodate him!
Nolan is a good boy - he'll even take the pellet right from our hand, no pinching. No one believes a hermit crab can be friendly, but he is! He is in a large tank with lots of fish and The Rocket (a smaller, lesser known hermit crab that Nolan tends to brawl with from time to time). Although he shares the tank, it is his tank! So I guess I should say he is friendly to his humans, but boss of the tank!
We love him!
