This is Gaia! She is a russian tortoise. When I got her in 2016 the breeder said she was around eight years old. So I suspect she's around ten years old now. We live in a little town called Irons, Northern Michigan! Gaia is special to me because she has such a personality! She loves to take walks during a sunny day, she loves to eat dandelions and roses, she loves to burrow in the grass (thinking I can't see her), She is so tame and friendly, she will eat right out of my hand! She's a funny girl and one of my most loved pets.
She is a healthy eater - her diet consists of spring mix, collard greens, mustard greens, and kale. Now that spring is underway, she loves that there are dandelions avialable for munching, too. Russian tortoises live up to 40 years, so we look forward to many dandellions and many years together!
