Melody is a small parrot with a big attitude. She is a Green Cheek Conure, with the Pineapple color mutation. When she wants attention, she mimics human laughter or whispers! Unlike many individual parrots, Melody manages to get along with all six members of our family, including our children when they were small. She has always treated each in her own way. She is very gentle and considerate, and is careful not to play too rough with her roommate, a parakeet named Misha. When lonely, Melody will fly out of her cage and walk down the hall, calling out and looking for someone to play with.
All in all, she is a vibrant girl (physically, too!) with a lot of love and entertainment to give. As for her name, she actually tries to sing but she's horrible at it, so she kind of got her name out of the irony! She does whistle in her sleep, though!
