Dave is a rescue hamster who I rescued along with his brother, Alan (who is sadly no longer with us). He came from a home where a girl with learning disabilities was breeding hamsters.
We know she loved them, and wanted the best for them but she couldn't give them the best, with having so many of them. She could not give them individual attention, or the right care, so they rehomed them.
When i first had him, he was a biter. You couldn't touch him without being very careful. But now, with a lot of love and attention, he will come and say hello to you and let you pet his head. He lets you hold him and doesn't bite. He has turned in to a very friendly little guy. He loves his cardboard tubes, shredding paper, and treats and I love him a lot.
