This is the last photo I took of my beloved companion R2. I got him six years ago in 2012 during a very hard time in my life and he helped me get through it. This week he fell terribly ill being unable to move his feet and on July 12, 2018 he passed away. He was such a sweet, loving and caring soul. He was taken from us too early and he will be forever and deeply missed.
R2 was always there to make anyone happy. He loved and trusted all he saw. He loved Juice and TV, he loved his cats and talking with the birds outside. He loved to cuddle and no matter what loved to be around his people. He never wanted to be alone and even if he wanted alone time he still wanted you in the room with him. He was very opinionated but that was part of his charm. He loved to eat corn and watermelon, apples and peaches and even these little beetles we called beer bugs due to their fondness for root beer.
He was protective of his family and loved ones such as his kitties and he let you know if he thought you were hurting them. He loved to join you in whatever you were doing and he loved getting treats like crackers and nuts. He loved pineapples off of pizza and enjoyed watching the world out of his window. He made me and my family love and appreciate birds more and no matter what, he wormed his way into your heart.
