Introducing Marvelous Mystique. What makes my pet special are many things. He is a beautiful lizard, and he is a northern eastern blue tongue skink. Their species is originally from Australia, but he was born here in the US. These lovely creatures have a blue tongue that is wonderful to see. Unlike the common household pet, mine is a reptile!
He is my first lizard. This species of reptiles can live up to 25 years in captivity. They are omnivorous. he eats insects and things like snails which are his favorite. Also he eats fruit - he loves bananas lol. He also could eat pinkies, which are deozen baby mice but i never feed him that. I feed him raw chicken as well and even frozen vegetables.
He is a very laid back pet. I am very fortunate that he is this way. He is fun to have and shows affection toward me. He sleeps a lot lol. Although they are independent animals, it is common in households to own and keep two in the tank. But it's not recommended, as they can be aggressive toward each other. They do like to bury themselves under mulch to hide. Mine stays out in the open because he is very comfortable with me and feels safe. The coolest fact about this specific reptile is that they are born "live" and not hatched from eggs. They give birth once a year. I hope you enjoyed meeting him.
