Buddy is a sweetheart and loves to nibble and lick on fingers. He is the boss animal of our house, even though we have a GSP (German short-hair pointer) who is way bigger than him. He shows her who's boss. They will sometimes snuggle, and Buddy is a very active, happy guinea pig who is always thinking about his stomach. He's a sassy little boy, and I love him to bits! Before I had adopted him I was going to get girl guinea pigs instead. He turned out to be the love of my life, and he's the best little piggy ever!
I found Buddy and his friend, Oreo, on a Craigslist listing. When I went to pick them up, I saw their sad living conditions. They were both in a small cage, and they were both very frightened. They had shredded paper, not the bedding type, just paper torn up into strips. It had ink on it, and if they ingested they could quite easily die. Sadly, Buddy's friend Oreo died within four months of me adopting him. He died from an upper respiratory infection two weeks after his fourth birthday. Now, a year and two months later, Buddy is as happy as ever, in fact he is getting quite chubby. I love him very much.
