Peanut is a black and white Dutch rabbit, about five weeks old. His mother is a black and white Dutch and his father is a blue Dutch.
Peanut is very special because he was born very small, unsually small. When a rabbit is born too small they call them peanuts and they usually don't live. But with lots of TLC from his mother and lots of prayers, he did. Every day was a struggle for him and his "peanut" litter mate. Now the two of them are as big as their other two litter mates.
He has a distinct personality, as I think all rabbits do. He has his calm, affectionate moods, but he can also be very hyper. He loves to jump and do half-flips. And of course, he loves to be petted. He's very curious. We think he's starting to recognize his name, as well. When you get down on his level, eye to eye, he'll give you "rabbit kisses." Peanut will always be especially dear to me since he was the tinier of the two "peanut" babies, hence his name Peanut. No matter how big he gets, he will always be my little Peanut. Peanut lives with his mother Cookie, his father Cassanova, and his litter mates, at our home in Louisiana.
