Rusty came with the old farmhouse my family purchased. He is rather skittish, so we do not know how much socialization he had before us. But he will allow you to pet him or take photos if you give him a potato chip! He's my only sheep, so he hangs out with my four potbelly pigs and two miniature donkeys, like they are his flockmates, or maybe his herd.
Rusty has quite orange-ish colors to his wool, which is, I am sure, how he got his name. I think he has gotten more orange the older he gets, though. He likes to stare at people, like he is curious about us. We pay someone to shear him every spring, and he reminds me of a llama after he's been peeled. He is a very interesting pet, even if he was not one I ever expected to have!
