I adopted Blaster in December a couple years ago. He was not being taken care of by his former owner, a ten-year old boy. He was tired of him. He was named after Blaster in the G-Force movie about guinea pigs. He didn't have any food or water when I picked him up. They said he would scream and scream when he didn't have any water. He would have died if he didn't!
I took the bottom picture when I got him. Blaster is on the skinny side for a nine-month old male guinea pig in that one. He is now three years old and he is fat and happy. He is in a cage beside my female, Blackberry. She has taught him when it is veggie time. They both scream at the top of their lungs when I am late on bringing in the veggies on my day off. No sleeping in for me. He is now the loudest screamer! His favorite foods are bell peppers and cucumbers. I must admit although, he has eaten every veggie or fruit that I have given to him. He is just glad to get it!
Blaster is a very good-natured piggy. He will let me pet him without running all over the cage. He will sit on my lap, too. He is a tri-colored guinea pig. The colors are all mingled through his fur. I know he is much happier with all the pellets, water, and hay that he can eat in front of him.
