Alucard is very tiny for a buck. I am not sure how old he is, maybe two or three months old. He was in a bad way when I first got him, he had a loony sized patch of fur missing on his hind end that was infected. The lady at the petstore kept spraying him with alcohol which made him itchy so he bit at it. The other males did the damage. So anyway, I gave him some antibiotics and stopped putting stuff on the wound to see if that would work, and it did. The wound is healed now, we just have to wait till his fur grows back. He was quite adverse to being touched and stroked as you can imagine.
I am slowly getting him tamer; he no longer jumps when I touch him. He is a lot more mellow. He absolutely loves out-of-cage time, and he often holds his tail up as he runs, which has an adorable pink mark on the end that looks like a flag. He also loves flax seeds and pumpkin seeds. He will often come out and say "Hi," wanting treats, and has the cutest way of stretching his hind legs as he walks. He very often cuddles inside his house, he loves it in there. Probably he feels safe and warm. He is eager for treats, but when he gets them, often walks around with it in his mouth deciding where to eat, a process that takes him longer than most mice! He will often do a few circuits around his cage before choosing.
