This is Moe, our 175 Lb (79kg) registered Boer goat. He's our herd sire. Most loving docile and fun Boer buck I've encountered. Blessed to have him!
Moe is a full blood Boer buck. He lives to play. Get in his pen and jump up and down a few times and Moe will take off leaping and bucking with joy. He can sniff out a black licorice flavor treat within a country mile.
We lucked out on getting Moe. Our first herd sire, his original name was Red, but my four-year-old insisted someone had made a mistake because his name is Moe the goat.
The day we bought Moe, the owner came back to say he had really made a mistake selling him, but knew he needed to keep his word. We are new to "goat'n", and have never shown a goat, but our goal is to give Moe a shot at blending his decent genetics/characteristics with a few choice does to see if we can't get some show-worthy boers entered into the Kansas show-circuit.
I can't help but to say it, but Moe is loving! You break past the tree-line nest his pen and he sees or hears you, he lets off a "Na-a-a-a-a" and heads for you. Get in with him and you best be ready to smell like buck because he's going to walk around your legs like a 175-lb purring housecat begging for rubs and scratches. His favorite toy is YOU!
