Onyx is like a barrel full of monkeys, full of bouncy energy, happily chittering away! In fact, my husband even calls her "monkey." Rambunctious and always looking for something to chew on (especially if it's something she's not supposed to be chewing on), she's quite a hand full. She plays pretty rough, and can bite hard, though she never breaks the skin. She can also be a sweetheart once she gets to know you. In fact just this morning she vigorously licked my face as I was getting her out of the bedroom cage. She's not as athletic as her sister, being heavier, but she makes up for it with brute force and powerful chewing.
When her ferret sister tries to climb over, Onyx tries to chew through or push out of her way! She's absolutely hilarious when she wants to play, and has the best Weasel War Dance I've ever seen. She loves to chase after hanging cat toys, and is always up for playing with her humans. She's intensely adorable, and melts my heart with just a glance. She's a bit of a picky eater, so it has been hard to find anything we can use as "treats" for her, but we're making progress. Her energy and enthusiasm is infectious, and when she wants to play, I can't resist crawling on the floor and romping with her!
