Boots is my twin sister's and my pony. He came to us at a time when we needed him the most, even if we didn't know it yet. Before we got him, my sister and I, at the age of 15, were going through our parents splitting up, and it wasn't just a normal break up. Let's just say that it was very difficult and it made my sister and I feel depressed, and we couldn't find anything to help us feel happy until one day (a year ago in the fall). Our mom found this little baby miniature pony for sale and she told us about it and showed us a picture of this tiny little grey pony and we fell in love with him. So we decided we were going to take him home with us, He was a little bit away from where we live and at the time we didn't have a good working horse trailer so guess what we did? We took our mini van, wrapped the inside of it in garbage bags and drove to the house where this little mini was kept and loaded him in the back of our car and took him home.
When we got him, our mom said she will trust us to train this little mini into a therapy pony, and we of course said yes! So here we are today, with our now one-year-old mini. He still has a lot of habits to overcome but his training is going great! And he is soon on his way to becoming the sweetest little therapy pony! For my sister and I as well. He has helped us find our happiness again and is still helping us through our hard times and he also stays by our side for the good times!
He is such a joy to have around, and he loves to smile! He likes to hang out with us whenever we enter the paddock, and he enjoys walks and lots and lots of snuggles! He will even greet us with his little neigh in the mornings. And yes, my sister and I did paint his hooves purple! But don't worry, it's special hoof polish made for horses and it's safe to use for them. And he didn't mind getting his hooves painted at all! He stayed still for it! We love our little guy and I hope you enjoyed this story!
