Clover is a brindle colored mouse that was being given away as free on a classified ad website. I don't know much about why she was being given away or anything, all I know is she needed a home and I wanted to give her one. Giving away pets on websites like that without asking for an adoption fee is not a safe thing to do for the animal. The ad on the website referred to the mouse as a "he", but I eventually figured out that "he" was a she. I was looking for a female mouse, so I was happy to figure this out.
On the way to her new home, she was frantically digging at the newspaper on the bottom of the carrier, and it turns out she was hungry. I had sprinkled a few treats under the newspaper to keep her entertained for the ride. She ate them quickly. Then, when she was introduced to her new home, she just went straight to the food dish, what a hungry little mouse! She ate for a while, then carried on exploring. A few weeks later, she was introduced to a colony of mice that I already had. Female mice are extremely social and love to have a friend, or two (Or in my case, a whole group of friends!). It went a little rough at first, but they worked it out and are all best friends now. They are living happily now with lots of toys and love.
