I would like to introduce our guinea pigs Martha and Piglet. Martha is the black and white one, she is under two years old, and Piglet is under one year old. We don't know exactly how old they because of how we got them.
I volunteer at freshfields.org.uk an animal rescue centre here in Liverpool. They had been made aware of a home with an out of control guinea pig population and we ended up adopting Martha and Piglet! neuteringanimalsinmerseyside.org.uk kindly ensured we would only ever have two piggies and they came to live with us in February 2017.
These two are so much fun, they are super cute. Martha is the greedy one, nothing will stand in her way for a snack, and Piglet is still growing up. He is still fairly shy but he had to have a fair bit of treatment as a baby as he has one small eye, so it is quite understandable.
They love most vegetables but their favorite is grass, very quickly followed by lettuce. And they will popcorn just for fresh hay (which they get every day so plenty of opportunity for amusement!). They are both suckers for being hand fed their favorite foods, and Martha will even let me stroke her. Our house became a whole cuter when they moved in!
