Walter is a very spoiled little bunny. He knows a few tricks, and loves to run around. Surprisingly, he is not a great jumper, but I think he just hasn't gotten the hang of it yet. He loves fresh fruit and yogurt treats, and has NO fear of dogs.
I had a couple of rabbits when I was a kid. I've always loved bunnies, like I'm kind of obsessed. It has taken me eight years to talk my husband into us getting a rabbit. I did a lot of research and decided I wanted a pure bred mini rex, and the closest place to me that sold them was about a three-hour drive, so I took a whole day off to drive out and get Walter.
He's very playful, his tricks right now are "up" where he stands on his back legs on command, and "come." He sort of knows "bed," where he runs back into his hutch on command, but it's still a work in progress. He knows it, but he doesn't always feel like cooperating. He doesn't really play any games, but he does like to nuzzle against your nose, and he loves being petted on his face. He's pretty independent, he hates cuddling. Even when he's enjoying being petted, or demanding to be petted, he doesn't want to be held. He wants you to pet him while he sits wherever he wants. He wants to run around on his own most of the time. I think his absolute favorite thing is eating. He's gentle, though. He likes to chew on everything, but he has never bitten anyone on purpose, even when we first got him. He's very sweet. Occasionally he'll "boop" people with his nose to get petted more. Sometimes he even "boops" the dog.
