My boss found Hiasje in a riding horse stable and brought him to me. He was about two to three weeks old and had almost no fur. He learned to eat from my fingers. All the people warned me, a wild rat will never be a cage rat ... But he was befriended by my other rats. He is perfectly well behaved, has still never nibbled a cable or otherwise damaged something. Freedom also did not interest him.
Our recently gone over the rainbow Hecki was his best friend. And after two weeks I noticed that Hiasje still is looking for him and missing him. My other rats are always around Hiasje, though, and the Vet says Hiasje is strong and healthy, and he still has good life ahead of him. I love him.
