Sparrow is quite a interesting hamster. She is like all rodents, nocturnal. She loves to climb on her water bottle and she does this interesting thing. She will climb up her water bottle then climb upside down on her lid! Yep. A "spider hamster" quite literally!
How she got her name: When I got her I got her from a breeder instead of a pet store. Basically, majority of my past rodents have had food names like Cookie, Ginger, Caramel, Mocha, Peaches, and so on. I have never had a hamster with a bird name. So when I picked her up, the name Sparrow came to mind. And from that day forward she has had the name. Plus she has markings of one, too.
Sparrow's favorite activity to do is run on her wheel and try her best to get my attention or bite on her water bottle holder (weird, I know). If she is in a extremely active mood and you put your hand in her tank, she won't bite, she won't screech at you, she will simply climb on your hand, or if you're wearing a jacket or long sleeved shirt she will climb up it.
She isn't scared of anyone or anything. She is really affectionate, though. If you put Sparrow on carpet stairs she will climb up them! I did not teach her that, she taught herself that! Overall, Sparrow is a really sweet hamster and she loves anyone. :)
