I purchased Ace about a month and a half ago at a local pet store near my college. We are allowed to have small pets in our dorms as long as there not venomous and can comfortably fit in a decent sized cage/tank. My previous gerbils Dawn and Dusk had recently passed away, they gave me comfort and support while going through the rigors of college life. Finals were coming up and I wasn't sure if i could go without the reassurance of a fuzzy creature. And that's when Ace came into my life.
I gave him the name Ace because he was the only gerbil left out of the four pet stores in the area. He was never socialized much, so he is a bit shy but we are working on it. he's super energetic and loves to shred cardboard. His favorite treats are cheerio's, sunflower seeds, honeycomb cereal, and almonds. I love him!
