My pretty little Nova has no scales (well she has belly scales, which snakes use for one of their ways to get around). She's a rare - especially in this country - scaleless cornsnake. Being scaleless in the wild would be dangerous for her, but she is a loved pet, and always will be! She's adorable and curious!
Her parents are scaleless. She is an import from Austria along with her brother Orion that I purchased for the intention of making more scaleless here in the USA. She's a curious snake, always exploring, very independent, always hungry. She eats frozen/thawed baby mice. Snakes are techically 100% deaf, they do not have ears. They have recently discovered that snakes do hear through their jawbone which is in conact with the ground, so they hear vibrations like predators, but she is incapable of knowing her name or even hearing it. Her favorite activity is eating. She does not mind being held, as you can see! I love her!
