My pet is a long haired hamster named Meatloaf. He's around two months old, so is still a little baby. We live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Meatloaf loves carrots and sunflower seeds. And he is clever, too - instead of running in his wheel like a normal hamster does, Meatloaf sits on the ledge by his wheel and uses his legs to spin the wheel from the outside! We think this makes him very special. Why run when you don't have to? What a smart boy!
When I put new sunflower seeds in his cage, he stuffs as many as he can info his cheeks right away, even though he is the only pet in the cage - cannot be too careful about treasure I guess! We love him!
