Chika is very special to me! He is so special, I took him to my aunt's house for 10 days and I'm going to take him to Glenrowan for three days soon, too. He is a Turquoise Green Cheek Conure, which is a mutation of the normal green cheek conure, and I am not sure how old he is, or very sure of gender, it is hard to tell in some birds. I am just using "he" until I find out for sure.
Just today he finished his training and he behaves as if he was a hand-fed budgie, even though he was untrained and seemed more like a wild budgie. He comes flying towards me when I call, he plays football, and he even imitates sounds. I feel proud of him, and I am happy my effort in training has paid off. I love him!
