I bred this wee sweetheart last April, her birthday is April 24th '15. She was from a planned litter. She is the daughter of my mice Frankie and Autumn, and has three brothers and four sisters. If you look close at her belly she has a marking that looks like the South American continent. The final picture is of her as a baby. I named her Diptail as it looks like someone dipped her tail in pink paint. Also she is named after a character in a novel.
Diptail is very feisty, and doesn't like to be caught or held for long. She never bites or anything, but she doesn't act like she was carefully and lovingly hand-raised. She tends to prefer exploring out of cage as I frequently let her, she is very spoiled and hyper, though she is quite old by mouse standards. She enjoys various treats and food, loves corn on the cob, grass (though I rarely give this as dad sprays for weeds), flower petals, bird seed, pumpkin seed, peanuts, rolled uncooked oats, bread, really anything I feed her.
She is a bossy girl, tends to be alpha mouse with whoever she is housed. This has gotten her into trouble in the past! She loves hiding in petstore and kleenex boxes, as well as under cloth. She won't have anything but cloth beds, if I dare give her a ceramic one she fills it with woodchips and food, then makes a nest under her wheel till she gets her way. She has a lot of spunk and personality. She has not slowed down much even due to her age. I love her!
