This is Oona, she is a rose-haired tarantula, or Grammostola rosea is their scientific name. If you look carefully at her pictures, you can see where her s[pecies gets that name. I do not know how old she is, when I got her, it did not list her age. Not many people find tarantulas loveable. But for me, my dear tarantula baby is as loved as all my other furry pets. She's very sweet and not many people realize she's got a personality as well.
She is very gentle! I hold her all the time and a lot of my family has arachnophobia, but once they have held Oona, they felt so much relaxed around spiders! I understand many people don't like spiders, and I accept that! I have a soft spot for misunderstood- creepy crawlers! I call them beautiful and lovely eight-legged babies!
