Poncho (named by his previous owner) was rescued at seven months old from a hamster-sized cage (and wheel) last September! He is now a year and three months old. As a result of never being handled or given space, he's not friendly in the slightest bit, but he has never tried to bite and is usually content to sleep on your lap during the day.
He only chomps down when you have something delicious-smelling on your skin, or if he thinks he can use the scent to camouflage himself! Once he realizes he's chomping down on a person, he lets go and curls up, almost as if in shame. Haha. It's too cute, you have to forgive him!
He's now spoiled with suitable cat food, meal worms, banana, and a 5+ ft long cage. Anything smaller, and he starts trying to climb his way out!
