Peaches is my bird son/daughter, not positive, but I think he is a male. He loves whistling and gives kisses!
He's a fairly old bird, considering that I've had him since childhood. I'm assuming he is around 13-14 years, but getting up there at any rate. Thankfully cockatiels are long-lived birds -
they can live to be 20, and there are some that live even longer, I have heard of one that is 30 and going strong. So hopefully he will do the same. He is very fun, and cheerful, and can even whistle songs from the 1960's! I love him!
