Reeses is an incredibly photogenic box turtle which I've had for about two years. Reeses lives in an outside enclosure with one other younger box turtle named peanut butter. When not roaming her enclosure she snacks on her favorite foods, mulberries and worms. Personality wise she is very shy at first around people however after about five minutes and maybe some treats she is an very active and will walk freely around you.
I found Reeses two and a half years ago. She lived in a 50+ gallon reptile tank for the first couple months. then we built an outdoor enclosure for her. Her favorite foods are mulberries, which luckily we have mulberry tree in my yard where I let her roam under to eat with me watching close by. Also, she loves live worms. About a year ago we got another turtle named Peanut Butter who now lives with Reeses.
Once she gets used to you she will come up to you when your sitting down, and when I go to the enclosure Reeses will walk up to the side where I fed them and eagerly say hello. What's unique about Reeses is that she also has an unlikely best friend, a 8-month-old cat named Momo, who walks beside her or is close whenever I let Reeses out. Reeses will walk right up to Momo without a hint of shyness. We have a small shallow kiddie pool in Reeses' enclosure where she love to bathe during the warm hours of the day. She is a very active turtle who doesn't go in her shell often, and lets her photos be taken with treats of course.
