Ash is my first owned bird, though my parents had a cockatiel named Charlie who was the best bird you could ever wish to meet. He was a very good friend of mine, so because of him I have always wanted a pet cockatiel.
Right now Ash's gender is unknown, we think Ash may be male but we use female pronouns for now. As regards to her personality, she is very, very, very cheeky, she won't hesitate to demand attention and food! She loves to tweet happily in her cage, it's funny watching her argue with her toys, we even saw her argue with her self once!
We only got her in March and she was 6 months old at that point, so she's about 7 and half months old now. She hasn't really had chance to learn anything but we are trying to teach her Star Wars' "Imperial March," which I believe she is trying to mimic. She has on occation been whistling and I have mimiced her, only to have her reply which was sweet!
At the moment she is independent but we are trying to get her to trust us more, and know we will have many years ahead to accomplish this. She is a cutie pie. I love her dearly!
