June Bug, Juni for short, has to be that horse you meet one time and your life is changed afterwards. She took me from barrel racing to reteaching me how to ride due to medical disabilities. She came to me as a freebie, was registered and hadn't been worked in awhile, but two years later we've accomplished so much together.
She is not my first horse, though she was my fiance's first horse whom I ended up keeping with me while he returned to military duties in a different state. She didn't bat an eye the first day she saw my wheelchair and I ended up catching her, grooming, bathing and leading her all in the same day. It is not me in the last photo, I did take the picture and have permission from the person to use the image as Juni was allowing someone taking lessons to enter their first show which was convenietly a halloween costume show.
Juni is a very sweet and loving mare who can tell peoples' experience with horses and treats them accordingly. She is the first to meet you at the gate and rub her head all over you or back her butt up to you for scratches. She knows how to bow and lay down and can barrel race, cut, rein, trail ride, basic level dressage, bareback and jump up to 2 feet currently. I love her.
