Gojira is my Veiled Chameleon. She is named after the Japanese movie charcter Gojira - in English, you know it as Godzilla. She has a strong personality - she can scare the cat away, unlike my other lizards, which is fun. She's normally a
minty or olive green.
She's my first chameleon. I decided to get a chameleon when I was pretty young. It took seven years of research and planning before I finally got her. She can be tricky to care for, chameleons need a humid cage and lots of natural sunlight. They also rarely go onto the ground so it's best to have lost of vines and plants she can climb on.
Gojira generally eats live meal worms and crickets, but she also eats kale. As for her personality, she's a chameleon, and it seems like she's always silently judging everything and she can be kinda mean. Chameleons are more of a "look, don't touch" pets! After all, anything that picks up a chameleon in the wild is usually a predator.
I really hope people do some research before getting a pet chameleon. It takes a lot of time and money to keep them, also they don't stay the size you see at the pet store a female veiled chameleon can grow to 18 inches long and a male can grow to 24 inches. Still, for the right people, chameleons are cool and Gojira is a fascinating pet. I love her!
