This is one of the little miracles that, together with his 15 siblings, was born to the world only three weeks ago. This is the only one in the brood that my sister decided to keep. Their mother Merida is a wonderful and social pet rat and we are sure that G'kar will be too.
He just opened his eyes the other day! My sister decided to name all the little babies after characters from the TV show "Babylon 5." In the beginning I think it feels kinda weird calling this little cutie G'Kar. But I think in time we'll get used to it.
He's shown a little bit of personality. He is quite calm most of the time but likes to crawl away from the others, so he kind of keeps his mother busy. He is still nursing and he grows a bit faster than some of his siblings. He also began to grind teeth when my sister patted him and tried to nurse on her hand. You can already tell that he loves people. He is very, very special to us!
