Pluto the Leopard Gecko, the Pet of the Day
Name: Pluto
Age: Ten months old
Gender: Male
Kind: Leopard Gecko
Home: Florida, USA

Pluto is a Leopard Gecko that I got around October of 2015! He is the first reptile I have ever owned. He was a very small baby, so I named him Pluto. However, he is now apparently a larger than average leopard gecko for his age so his name is pretty ironic now! He is around 10 Months of age and it shows. He is extremely sociable and active. He is constantly jumping around, climbing on stuff, and running around his tank!

Unlike most other kinds of Leopard Gecko that you see, he doesn't have any vivid patterns on his body, he has them on his tail! He has a few spots on his head any many on his tail.

It is awesome owning a reptile! They can be really fun to look after and watch! In fact, I'm planning to buy a Bearded Dragon around the end of the year. He eats mostly mealworms, but I'm introducing him to crickets around the time he turns a year old. He's very easy to care for. For a gecko his age, a 10-gallon tank is a good thing to keep him in. His diet consists of crickets, mealworms, and the occasional superworm as a treat. He eats every other day. As for heating and lighting, he doesn't require much light apart from a light to help out with his day/night cycle. I also use an under the tank heater to keep half of his tank warmed, and the other room temp. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
