Possum is a lovely little man. He is really friendly and likes cuddles. He is a rescue ferret and he gives back any love you give him ten-fold.
A friend of a friend originally had Possum and his brother Tanuki (they were called Rhubarb and Custard but we thought he looked like an opossum and my husband and son are mad about anything Japanese so we called his brother Tanuki). The girl's father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she had to care for him, so she could not cope with the ferrets as well. She asked if we would take them, as we have always had ferrets. These boys came at a great time as we had lost a few to old age and so they helped to cheer us up as we get very attached to our fur babies.
Possum likes to sleep in the front pocket of my son's sweatshirt. We have a Rottweiler and he likes to jump from the bed onto the dog's back and go for a ride. All ferrets are hoarders. If you leave anything around and they like the look of it they will 'claim' it. He thinks everything is his and we obviously left it lying around so he could drag it back to his cage. When we moved house, we found spoons, scissors, socks, pens and tissue hidden behind their cage.
