This is our old boy Kentucky, he is a cross between a Shire Horse and a Paint. Kentucky is 24 years old and still being ridden in competitions both in English Pleasure and Equitation on the flat. He is a big guy, heavy boned because of the Shire side of his genes, but moves surprisingly lightly anyway. He gets along well with the other horses here, and is pretty genial, though he can be stubborn at times. Maybe that is why he is still going strong - stubbornness can be a good thing sometimes. We love him!
