Pathfinder is the newest member of the Sky High Geckos family. He is settling in nicely at his new home enjoying his dubias and other tasty treats. Tokay geckos are one of the largest gecko species in the world. They are known as the "pit bulls" of the gecko world due to the fact they can give you a nasty bite if threatened. Tokays are not for the inexperienced keeper.
All geckos have different needs. Tokays like Pathfinder need a much larger enclosure than the crested or the leopard gecko. They eat a variety of insects waxworms, superworms, mealworms, crickets, dubias and other things. Tokays need experienced keepers they can and will give a nasty bite if they are frightened, and it's hard to get them to let go. So being calm, and letting one get used to you is imortant!
Pathfinder is actually a lot calmer than Tokays are said to be. I hope that Pathfinder and I can help educate people about these beautiful geckos.
