Billycan looks just like his mum, Nina, and sister Raspberry. He comes from a planned litter, all eight of whom I have kept. He is a big, meaty mouse. He is a tad jumpy, he gets startled easy but it a big happy squish when he is being held. Like most of my others, he loves to explore my work table and anywhere else I choose to let him roam. He is a big fan of bird seed, peanuts and pumpkin seeds. He usually runs into his coconut shell when startled, but never gets nasty. He is quite happy to put up with cuddles, strokes and kisses. He is also an avid wheel runner and racer, and actively climbs a lot. He is a tad tubby but that adds to his charm.
Billycan loves to hide in the various boxes I have in the out-of-cage mouse playground, and underneath my stereo. When I play music he likes the vibrations, I have it on a small stepping stool for a child so they cannot get onto my stereo and make it dirty. He is very shy however, and though he will take treats from me he does it in a very gentle, careful way. I named him after two book characters, Billycan literally means "Billy can do anything," and "Eyebright" is a colonel in the military. He is still a baby in the one picture. I love him!
